- Savings & Income Generation: To improve the financial security of group members through increased savings and income-earning options
- Community Cooperation and Institution Building: To raise understanding in the community of the benefits of working cooperatively and to develop leadership to ensure the sustainability of these benefits
- Environmental and social Awareness: to significantly increase the community to important environmental and social Issues, including the right of women and other marginalized member of society.

Success Story: Ramisa is a member of ‘Akota’ women’s cooperative in Baruda slam. She came to this slam about 10 years ago. Her husband become old and doesn’t have much strength to work. She has 5 daughters and 2 sons. 4 of her daughters already get married and 1 of her daughter disable. She used to work as a made servant in a house. It was very hard for her to maintain her family with her poor income. Without this profession she used to act a as TBA in this slam area. But she did not have much experience in this area. By giving importance to her interest in this profession our professional SBC arranged training for her. |

Story: Bolboli Begam is originally from Jamalpur district. Just three years back she came to Gazipur and now she living in Sahapara slum. She is married and she has a son and a daughter. Her husband is a stationery salesman. He can earn maximum of Tk 60 – 70 in a day. It’s become really difficult for him to maintain the family. They were in straggle. In the year of 2006 we have survey Sahapara slum and we have arranged a group with seventeen members and she joined to the club. Weekly she saves TK. 10 to the club and she is regular to the meeting as well. |
