Symbiosis International

Story:
Rakha rani is 33 year old. She lives in Santikunjo more, Horizon colony in Tangail. She is married and had two children’s. Her husband is a day laborer. In a day her families’ income was about 60 Tk. but it’s not at all sufficient for their family. So, they were in straggle and unhappy.
Once Symbiosis worker meet with Rakha rani and discover her most of the problem and her family status. Once one of our staff invited her to join in our Savings group and she was agree to join to the group then she join to the group. She starts savings to the group by Tk. 10 in a week. Then she took Tk. 2000 loan from their group to start a small stationary shop. Then she start a stationary shop and now she sells stationary and earning enough money for her family.

Now she is very happy. She also knows about Women rights, child marriage, human rights etc. Her child is going to the school. She feels that now she is empowered in her community. She is very happy, because through Symbiosis, she has learnt many things and improved her life.

Analysis:
She was unemployed and uneducated but now she feels employed and she is giving really good financial support to her family. She and her family are happy with the change.
