Symbiosis International

Dilip is a member of Serpur Horijon community, His age is 22. Dilip brought up in Horizon community. They have old house situated near a pond just north side of the colony. His father babul Horizon is a worker.  His mother is house wife. Dilip is only a child of his parents. He did not have enough opportunity to study because of poverty. His parents did not have enough income to allow their child to go to school. When he grown up he had no work and he was frustrated.

One day MCP- Horizon staff meets with him and listen his problems. After listening his life story we recommended him to receive hair cutting saloon from symbiosis because he has little experience in hair cutting. After this training he found a job into a barber shop in this community. But he only receives 10% commission from his employer against his total income. He found that after working whole day he can only able to earn only little amount of money which is not sufficient for him to support his family.

One again Dilip share his problem with us and he wanted to start his own shop after getting loan from symbiosis. Also he wanted to open this saloon near the horizon community. After discussing all his problems with other symbiosis horizon staff we were agreed to give him loan to begin his business. This year he opened his new shop near horizon community.

Now his income has gone up. His daily income is about tk. 200 to tk. 250 per day. He is playing an important role in his family. This year he also gets married. He is thankful to symbiosis. He also feels that with the help of symbiosis horizon community can bring the changes in their life.

Analysis: This story shows that Dilip Horijon was able to bring the glorious to his life towards her own effort and some partial support from us. He is empowered by us and his intentions towards life bring this success in his life.
