Project Objectives - Community Cooperation and Institution Building: To raise understanding in the community of the benefits of working cooperatively and to develop leadership to ensure the sustainability others Benefits.
- Functional Education: To increase by 65% the level of literacy and numeracy amongst Participants and increase the proportion of women of participants entering mainstream education.
- Health and Nutrition: To substantially improve the health of the community and increase Awareness reading important health, nutrition and hygiene issues.
- Saving income Generating: To improve the financial security of group members through increase saving and income-earning options.
- Environmental and Social Awareness: To rise understanding in the community Understands of and response to important environmental and social issues including the rights of women and other marginalized members of society.
- There are no changes to the project's objectives and this early stage of the project, staff confident that they will be achieved in full.

Success Story: Amina is a 45 years old. She lives in a village in Sarisabari upazilla under the Jamalpur District. Amina is married and she has six daughters and two sons. Her husband is a poor farmer. Their family’s income was Tk 70 per days. Amina wanted to do something for her family in this situation. But she was illiterate.
One day symbiosis worker met with Amina in her house and we talked about symbiosis activities. After our discussion Amina showed her interest to join into our new functional education group. We also allowed him to become a member of our functional education group. After successfully completing functional education she joined into the savings group and start saving with other group members. After a period of time she shared her family problem with other group members and proposed to setup a small business after getting loan from the savings group. Other group members considered her proposal and allowed her to received loan of taka 4,500 to do the business with few interest rate. Later she stark making cake and sell those to the local market. She found this business is profitable and become an earning source for her family. From the profit of his business she repaid his loan to the savings group. Now she is happy with her present condition. She is sending her children to the school. Now her present income is taka 250 per day. |

Story: Majeda is living in dulotpur under of Sarisabari district. She is 35 and married. She has a daughter and three sons. Only her husband can earn little money for their family but Majeda was really interested to something for her family but she can’t because she doesn’t have enough money to start any business. Once she talked with one of our staff and share her most of the financial problems, then our staff has suggested her to join to our “Mala Mohila Samity” saving group. Then she starts weekly saving to the saving group. |
