Sirajganj District is a flood affected area and river erosion is very common and located in the very remote sandbar area. The village calls North Kumar Bari located in this district. This village is located in Monsurnagar Union and Kazipur Upazila under this district. However North Kumar Bari is not a proper village but sandbar area which is separated from the main Jamuna River and its branch.

About Two Thousands people are living in this village. Most of the people came into this village who have lost their land because of river erosion. People in this village are involved in different profession however mainly they are farmer and fisherman. Every year these people have to face flood and some time river erosion also for the whole year they struggle to earn and manage food for their family. These people had believed that fool is the only vital issue. They had no concentration towards health or hygienic issue and due to this reason people in this village used to get sick often. People also used to feel that education is such a waste of time and it is better to work in the field. We have found that there were many children who already cross their age to admit into the primary school. There were no primary school was available at this village and only few children go to school but that school was very far from the local area. Many students also dropped out due to lack of previous educational experience or practice. In this circumstance especially children in sandbar area are far away from the other children especially in education.
