Project Objectives

  1. Education: To increase by 65% the level of literacy and numeracy amongst participants and increase substantially the proportion of children of participants entering mainstream education
  2. Health and Nutrition: To substantially improve the health of the community and increase awareness regarding important health, nutrition and hygiene issues
  3. Savings & Income Generation: To improve the financial security of group members through increased savings and income-earning options
  4. Community Cooperation and Institution Building: To raise understanding in the community of the benefits of working cooperatively and to develop leadership to ensure the sustainability of these benefits
  5. Environmental and Social Awareness: To significantly increase the community's understanding of, and response to important environmental and social issues, including the rights of women and other marginalized members of society

Success Story 

Anju Rani Sarkar lives at collage para in Bogra district, under Dhunat upazilla. Anju Rani is a house wife, and her husband is a day labour. She has two sons. Her husband’s daily income was only one hundred taka which was very poor to maintain their family. So every day she struggle with her poor life.

Story:
Rahima is about 35 years old and she is a member of a SUPOTH club. She is married and husband is Mr. Abu Bakkar. They have a boy and a girl. It looks like a good & happy family but it wasn’t because she was blind. In between she meet with Hazarat Ali staff of GRIP project. He (Hazrat) informed her about GRIP project and tells her about Eye treatment in GRIP project. Then she communicates with GRIP project to get the treatment. Then once she came to our Eye camp and Doctor check her Eye and prescribe her some medicine and now she can see everything.
